What modifications can I do to my car?

Here at TRC we offer body styling modifications to change the look of your vehicle. Most of our kits and car modification parts can be fitted by individuals with access to a drill, basic tools and axle stands, plus you can use our fitting guide to help you out. But if you’re unsure then always get a professional garage to complete the installation

Will modifications increase the value of my car?  

Some modifications increase the look and desirability of the vehicle, so in turn you can demand a higher premium if you were to sell it. 

Do car modifications affect my insurance?  

It’s always worth checking with your insurance before carrying out any changes to your vehicle with car modification parts. 

How do I check if a car part will fit my car?  

Our website shows the range of products we offer for different vehicles, but if you are unsure then send us an email with a picture of your vehicle and we can confirm this for you by contacting us here.

What is a body kit?  

A body kit describes the components added externally to the vehicle to change the look and styling of it. We offer car body kits for a range of vehicles, including Volkswagen, Ford & Vauxhall

How do I install a body kit on my car?  

Our kits are attached to the vehicle with a mixture of nuts and bolts, large torx screws and polyurethane adhesive, the fixings are all provided and vary dependent on the part. 

How much does it cost to install a body kit?  

We offer a front splitter fitting from £80, but it varies depending on the product/s required. Please contact us for an accurate quote. 

Does a body kit affect my car’s performance?  

Body styling products can improve the handling characteristics but do not improve the car's performance. 

Will a body kit increase the value of my car?

What is a spoiler lip?

How do I install a spoiler lip?  

The majority of our spoiler lips require a polyurethane adhesive to fix them to a vehicle, our ally aero range use torx screws which are provided. Alternatively, book in online with us and we can get this fitted for you. 

Will a spoiler lip benefit my car? 

Spoiler lips can aid in increasing downforce to the rear of the vehicle.

What is the purpose of a splitter?  

A front splitter is an add-on to the bottom of a front bumper, it changes the look of the vehicle, makes the body work lower and can improve the aerodynamics and handling characteristics. Browse our splitters for Ford, Audi, Citroen and more in our shop

How do I install a side splitter?  

Side splitters are either attached with nuts and bolts or torx screws and polyurethane adhesive. You’d need suitable tools and safe access to the underside of the vehicle. 

What are the differences between a splitter and a front spoiler?  

These are just two names for the same items when talking about passenger vehicles. 

What are spats?  

Spats are small items which attach to the lower underside corners of rear bumpers.

How do I install spats on my vehicle?  

The majority of our spats are attached using nuts and bolts which are provided with the items. If you’re unsure about installing these, contact us and we can fit them for you.
